I'm supposed to be cleaning.

Yes, I'm supposed to be cleaning, but starting a blog is so much more important and exciting than vacuuming and doing dishes. Whilst I will only be playing thoughts in my head instead of sharing them with whomever happens along my little spot here.

We have plenty of dishes, granted most are piled in the sink, but enough to get through another meal or two. And the dog and cats are just going to shed and puke all over my clean floors, not to mention sippy cup leaks and the oops, I left my cup where baby sis could reach - spills.

Then there are the chicks Puffy & Peeps who are almost 2 weeks old and outgrowing their little space in the dining room. Maybe, it does smell a little like a barn in here. I haven't really noticed it over the scent of curdling milk from my cup of Hills Bros. fake coffee (I'm addicted to it) that I accidentally left sitting in the office for a few too many days.

I had this great idea; I thought I'd try letting it go - to see if it bothers anyone else in the family - that the house looks like a tornado blew through. Or maybe they would acknowledge that they are the furious winds causing all damage. Well, that was a pretty dumb idea because now I'm left with a real disaster and children who are oblivious to the mess.

Dennis did finally reach his breaking point. He pulled out the QuickVac and vacuumed around the books, toys and clothes tossed on the floor and kicked into corners. I just don't get that - why would you not pick the stuff up first or at least as you go.

I will take full responsibility for the dining room table, I own that mess. I just can't seem to help piling things on the table. My mother is the same way, I inherited messy table syndrome from her. Unfortunately, it isn't strictly dining room tables, it's countertops, microwaves and windowsills too.

Uh-oh, Autumn is covered in some unknown sticky substance. Even when the house is spotless she has an innate ability to find something icky to smear on her face and in between fingers and toes. And, of course that hidden treasure trove - the creases in her neck!

Ahh well, I've put it off long enough, time to scrub the baby and put her & Klae for a nap. Then I can get down to the serious business of power cleaning...I wonder if I can do it in 2 1/2 hours!
